Lone Ranger # 18

The Lone Ranger loads his gun and enters his home to find that the mysterious visitor is Sheriff Loring.
He and Tonto are talking. After Linda interrupts, the three men go outside to finish talking. There, the
sheriff pulls his gun and insists they come with him. Meanwhile, Butch Cavendish shows up at the place
of an arms dealer. The Lone Ranger and Tonto agree to go with Loring. As they ride off, Linda calls for
the masked man, unsure of what to call him. The Ranger tells Linda that he loves her and the boy. She
says she loves him too, but still doesn't know what to call him. As he rides off, he tells her to call him The
Lone Ranger.
Sunrise at the arms dealer, and Cavendish is testing a crank style machine gun. The mysterious Winston
Marle appears in a restaurant and complains to the waiter about the coffee before he rides off. The
sheriff, Tonto and the Lone Ranger arrive in town and go to the morgue. There the look at the body of a
man with a fatal bullet wound. The sheriff shows him the bullet. It's made of silver ...

Lone Ranger and Tonto # 3

The Lone Ranger and Tonto get into the act to solve a murder at the circus.
Lone Ranger# 19

The Lone Ranger and Tonto meet Sheriff Loring in the morgue, confronted with the evidence of a silver
bullet removed from the body of a man. They talk about who might want to frame them for murder. As
they talk, Winston Marle arrives. The Ranger punches Loring and Tonto hurls the table with the body at
Marle and the two escape out the window with Tonto cutting his shoulder. Next, Cavendish and his thugs
tie up and arms dealer but opt not to kill him as they pay him and take off with his load of weapons,
including a Winan steam gun. Back at the morgue, Marle questions Loring and demands he meet him at
his room at noon and to bring his badge. Meanwhile, as Marle waits impatiently in his room behind a desk
covered with guns, Cavendish and his men dine at the restaurantl. Finally, Loring heads over, walks past
Cavendish and is recognized by one of his men. Dan Reid Jr. is in bed, having a nightmare when the
Ranger returns, takes off his mask and wakes him. As Loring heads over to the hotel, Cavendish orders
his men to follow him. Marle heads down to the main floor of the hotel, upset that Loring is late. The
Ranger, without his mask, goes into his silver mine/cave and finds Linda stitching Tonto's cut. Reid wants
to know how Long Dan's been having nightmares. As he prepares to leave, he and Linda get into an
argument about he and Tonto being gone all the time. She tells Reid that she doesn't want him to go
without her first expressing how she feels. In doing so, she gives Tonto a big kiss on the lips.
Lone Ranger# 20

The Lone Ranger acts dismayed to discover that Tonto and Linda are in a relationship. He leaves the
mine and Linda follows after him. They talk and she tries to comfort him. A rider comes up and the
Ranger tackles him off his horse, only do discover it's Sheriff Loring. The Lone Ranger leads Loring to
his silver mine while, unknown to them, one of Cavenish's henchmen spies on them, discovering the
secret location. Meanwhile, Cavendish is in church where the henchman reports to him with the news.
Back in the mine, Loring tells the Ranger about Marle, that he is a federal agent determined to gt the
Ranger, guilty or not. The Ranger thanks him for the warning and walks away.
Marle visits the local newspaper printer and orders him to quit printing stories about the Lone Ranger. He
asks for back copies of all stories printed about him and leaves with a threat of what might happen if he
prints more without permission. Linda packs a meal for the Ranger to take and bids him well. The Ranger
checks on Dan Jr., who is sleeping. He returns to the mine where Tonto joins him. Loring cautions him
again. In the last pages, Cavendish stares at a crucifix only to have the image of Christ turn and stare
back at him. He leaves the church with his men to set out to kill the Ranger.
Lone Ranger# 21

Linda Reid is talking to the Lone Ranger and Tonto with Sheriff Loring behind
them. She has a premonition that something bad is about to happen. She
wishes them well and kisses Tonto goodbye. As the three men ride off, the
vantage point becomes one as seen through a field glass. Cavendish watches
as the sheriff veers off and the Lone Ranger and Tonto ride on. One of his
henchmen asks if they will kill the sheriff first or the Lone Ranger and Tonto.
Cavendish says neither and trains the viewer on Linda and Dan. They then
mount up and take off.
Meanwhile, at a luxurious, well-guarded house, Cavendish's former aid Winthrop
is about to enjoy a cup of coffee when the Lone Ranger and Tonto come
crashing through his front door. Sheriff Loring, in the meantime, returns to his
home at Havershaw Boarding House. Back in his room, Marle surprises him and
hopes to talk the sheriff into not packing and leaving. Back at the Reid place,
Linda puts Dan to bed and Dan begins to have one of his hornet nightmares.
Linda is in the kitchen when she sees in a mirror one of Cavendish's men
sneaking up behind her. Dan wakes up and tosses a silver bullet at the image of
his nightmare, only to have it bounce off the face of Butch Cavendish. The thug
who went after Linda calls out to Cavendish and falls in a blood heap on the
floor at his feet. Linda comes crashing through the door with a bloody knife in
hand. Another henchman comes in behind her with a wounded arm. Linda
scratches Butch on the cheek with the knife before he can grab and disarm her.
As he walks away he gives the knife to the wounded man and tells him to make
the boy watch. As Cavendish walks away from the house a scream comes out,
"No. Don't. NO!"
